Aircel IISc Centre of Excellence in Telecommunications (AIIScCET), at IISc Bangalore, came into existence on 12th December 2007 with the signing of a tri-partite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Department of Telecommunication, Government of India, Indian Institute of Science Bangalore and AIRCEL Ltd., during the inauguration ceremony of India Telecom 2007, presided over by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.
