Focus Area

Reliance  IITM Centre of Excellence (RITCOE), focuses on ‘Telecom Infrastructure and Energy’ to build excellence which is at par with world standards. Various existing and emerging technologies, growth prediction and technology adaptation in Indian context, application development using multiple technologies etc form the broad spectrum of activities of the centre.

The activities of the RITCOE include developing bandwidth efficient wireless infrastructure technologies, active infrastructure sharing techniques for optimizing telecom infrastructure to support wireless voice, broadband access and security aspects of infrastructure. There will be special focus on exploring alternative energy and energy-efficient approaches for powering telecom infrastructure.
