Important Milestones

• 16th October 2007: A tri-partite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Department of Telecommunication, Government of India, IIT Kharagpur and Vodafone Essar Ltd. to bring VEICET into existence.
• 27th March 2008 - First meeting of  Core group of VEICET  took place at IIT Kharagpur.
